Night Auditor
Job Summary: Responsible for the entire hotel operation during the overnight shift and has many responsibilities relating to the hotel business operations. This includes, posting and balancing charges and settlements for room, restaurant and bar daily work; maintaining files and resetting the systems for the next day’s operation.
Primary Duties and Qualifications:
• Registers guest and takes reservations
• Provide room keys to guests and answers all phone calls from outside the hotel and from guests
• Checks reservations to see what rooms can be cleaned the next day and passes on to housekeeping department
• Makes or sets wake up calls if the first shift has not arrived
• Runs software programs that the hotel uses to reconcile the bank deposits and cash on hand
• Processes credit card transactions and prepares all reports for the GM before the next morning
• Check deposits to make sure correct and matching the hotel cash and credit reports
• Prepare check out reports for each guest who plans to leave
• Handles any complaints during the night
• Other duties as assigned
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• At least 1 year of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field required
• College course related field helpfulPrevious supervisory responsibility preferred

• Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other Associates verbally and in written form
• Attend all mandatory meetings
• Follow & know emergency procedures as needed
• Provide customer service to guests, including information about hotel services and activities
• Promote Associate loyalty and empowerment
• Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision
• Knowledge of Accounting principles
• Must be able to problem solve and troubleshoot in order to resolve guest issues that may arise and respond to emergency situations
• Must be proficient in Windows operating systems, company approved spreadsheets and word processing |
